coming from your carpool buddy, its quite questionable that you would actually get to work if I wasn't in the car:) but improving everyday! you'll get the hang of it soon enough!
Here are some of my suggestions for you city people out there. I have a couple favorite places in Boston to eat. First if you like Oysters you HAVE to go to Neptune Oyster in the North End on Salem Street. They actually describe the taste of every oyster that makes for a great night! Then stop by "Shake the Tree" a cute little boutique to grab some accessories to cap off the night :)
I would also suggest Douzo on Dartmouth in the Back Bay for sushi and their fabulous Lychee-tini's. (basically asian pears) YUMMY!!
This is a great idea. I've been gone from the area for so long, it's difficult to know where to go these days when I visit. Great new resource, keep it up.
For Southie sites, should definitely try Terry's Place (on Broadway) for weekend breakfasts, Harpoon Fest (1 per quarter down on the waterfront) and Sully's for a burger on Castle Island in ths summer...

Dear Country girl,
Let me help you navigate this crazy city. If you haven't learned yet, Parking is hell. Def. take a train when possible and if you can navigate the bus schedule, those actually work well-- but the sched ain't easy to read.
The public house in Washington square is perhaps the best pub in the city. It's a cozy Belgium beer house with over 100 beers. The monk's cell next door is equally as good.
The best burgers--vegetarian and meat-- in town can be had at Mr. Bartley's Burger cottage. And yes, there really is a Mr. Bartley.
If you are looking for a good restaurant with a nice wine list, go to Ivy in Downtown. It's wunderful.
There is lots more I could tell you, but I have one suggestion for your blog-- you really should add some photos or images of some sort.
A former country girl,
Shelly
